VODIUM SELECTED TO WEBCAST GLOBAL FINANCIAL CONFERENCE
Vodium Webcasts Conference:
"Sustainable Business in East Asia"
Washington D.C., March 29, 2004 - The International Finance
Corporation (IFC), a member of The World Bank Group, selected
Vodium to provide full web based communications for its “Sustainable
Business in East Asia” conference, featuring global representatives
from The Coca-Cola Company, The Manila Water Company, The Bank
of Shanghai and The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Company.
The conference focused on the industries throughout East Asia
and the entire conference can be seen in its entirety at www.vodium.com/login/worldbank_sbus/.
Corrie Shanahan, Chief Media and Marketing, IFC, explained
the strategy to produce an interactive conference to global
participants, at the convenience of their desktop.
“Held in Hong Kong, the full conference was made available
to hundreds of participants through the convenience of webcasting.
With interactive webcasting, the desktop becomes an individualized
conference room. Rather than incorporating time consuming
global travel, IFC presents this conference in a dynamic and
engaging manner in a convenient setting. Vodium’s technology
affords IFC with superior state of the art technology and
individualized customer service,” said Ms. Shanahan.
“When working with a complex global marketplace, IFC
requires consistent quality on technology and up to the minute
content. We were pleased that Vodium’s search function
– allowing the users to search through video by every
spoken word – creates a valuable resource for desk top
users. It is convenient, beneficial and easy to execute,”
noted Ms. Shanahan.
Karl Williams, Vodium’s Chief Operating Officer, noted
the global acceptance of web casting conferences among the
business community.
“Global financial organizations such as The World
Bank recognize the expediency of webcasting. Through Vodium’s
technology platform –which includes dynamic interactive
features –the International Finance Corporation conference
organizers expanded their conference, achieved cost savings,
and introduced IFC to new audiences through the ease of desk
top distribution,” said Mr. Williams.
Vodium’s software features unique functions providing
customers with strategic resources: the search function allows
the customer to refer to the video by every spoken word, creating
an easy to use on line resource and the library function stores
the entire conference for future applications.
