Conflict
Happens: How Do You Make it Work for You?
Welcome to this
conflict management awareness training, which
was developed jointly by the DOI Office of Collaborative Action and
Dispute Resolution and
DOI University. Our goal is to provide you with a greater understanding
of the benefits of using alternative dispute resolution and collaborative
processes. The presentation will define terms that are critical to
understanding conflict management, as well as describe when these
processes should, and should not, be used. In short, it will explain how
effective conflict management can help further the mission of your agency.
There are two ways to take this training, through the Internet, or by
CD-Rom. If you experience difficulty accessing this presentation
through the Internet, please call the DOI Office of Collaborative Action
and Dispute Resolution at 202-327-5383, or e-mail us at
CADR@ios.doi.gov, and we will be
happy to send to you a CD Rom
version of the training.
We ask one favor of you as you undertake this endeavor. When you have completed
the training, please take a few minutes to complete the evaluation form
we have provided at the end of the presentation and return it to us by fax,
at 202-327-5390. This will allow us to become better service providers in
the future. In addition, you should retain a copy of the completed evaluation
form for your records to demonstrate that you have taken this training.
