This course moves the practitioner
from the scientific basis for Caries Management by Risk Assessment (CAMBRA)
as presented in the February and March 2003 issues of the Journal of
the California Dental Association to the practical implementation of
these concepts into practice. Clinical protocols suggested in the October
and November, 2007 issues of the Journal of the California Dental Association
were developed by experts in the field of cariology, dental practice,
academic research and successful practictioners of CAMBRA.
After attending
this 2-hour live webcast, participants will be able to:
• Perform a caries risk assessment on all patients based on the
latest assessment tools for children and adults.
•Understand the CAMBRA principles and possess the knowledge to
manage dental caries for any patient based upon risk assessment protocols.
•Identify dental products available for patient interventions
using the CAMBRA principles.
•Understand the benefits and challenges in creating buy-in from
dental team members, and the influence of third party payers on patient
acceptance.
